Pre-school Teacher
This person will have a passion for children and an understanding of some developmental and or play stages. They could have started studies and not completed them. While the position is for an untrained teacher we are looking for a high level of English / communication skills and computer skills. Hours will be 8.00am to 4.00pm and a 40 week year. (No work over the school holidays). This position would be starting between late July and early August.

Social Workers In Schools
Otahuhu Intermediate and St Josephs Schools, Otahuhu, Auckland (one position)
The Social Worker in Schools provides support to families and students who attend Otahuhu Intermediate and St Josephs schools. Being based within the Schools and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, provides the Social Worker with a significant opportunity to identify and address factors which put the students education outcomes at risk.
This position offers you the opportunity to put your learning and experience into action. The work will be challenging and rewarding.
The workload will be varied; and you will be working with a mix of different families, in different situations. Each day you will be faced with the challenge of utilising your knowledge, skills and networks to produce the best outcome for families and students.
If you are passionate about children and their families, have the ability to establish and maintain positive relations and have a formal social work qualification, this could be the position for you. You will need to work well within a multi-disciplinary team as well as independently, have knowledge of Pacific Island and Maori cultures, and have a can-do attitude. This role does require a certain amount of social work experience.

Practice Manager Social Workers In School
We are seeking a talented, passionate individual who dares to make a difference and is committed to working within a larger integrated agency working in partnership with families, schools, NGOs, communities and government agencies.
This position offers you the opportunity to put your learning and experience into action. The work will be intensive, challenging and rewarding.
The Social Workers in School service plays a critical role within ATWC. Social Workers in School are based in 13 schools across Auckland and provides front line support to families and children . You will be responsible for leading the team in the next stage of its development, and maintain strong and professional relationships with principals and teachers. Also, as part of the senior management team you will involved in developing and implementing new strategies for the ATWC.
The workload will be varied; you will be faced with the challenge of utilising your knowledge, management skills and networks to produce the best outcomes for families and children.
If you are passionate about children & families, have the ability to establish professional systems and practice standards, can develop and maintain positive relationships, have a recognized social work qualification and want to lead a professional team, this could be for you. You will need to be self directed, work well within a senior management, multi-disciplinary team and previous management/supervisory experience will be an advantage.

Volunteers play an integral role in the mission of the Anglican Trust for Women and Children to empower individuals and families to improve their quality of life. Anglican Trust for Women and Children volunteers are people of all ages and backgrounds who share their interests, time, talents, and commitment to giving back to the community in which they live.
Each year volunteers give their time, knowledge and skills to support the work of the ATWC and enable it to achieve its vision and mission. This input from volunteers extends the support the Trust can make available.

What is Volunteer Services?
Volunteers are vital to the work of the ATWC , This includes volunteers for Friends of ATWC. . Volunteering provides a wonderful opportunity to meet people, learn new skills, share existing skills, and have fun and give something back to your community.
What sort of people volunteer for the ATWC ?
ATWC volunteers are ordinary people who come from a wide range of backgrounds and age groups. They are interested in supporting the ATWCs aims and have a desire to support Families and Children to take charge of their own lives.
What do volunteers do?
Some of the many ways that volunteers can help members include:
- Helping with local fund raising projects
- Getting involved with the Friend of ATWC
- Assisting with recreation and social activities
- Assisting in the Rainbow Shop
How much time is required?
This depends on how much time the volunteer is able to give and the role they take on.
