Community Counselling Centre

The Community Counselling Centre is designed to assist individuals, couples and families from the South Auckland locality, who want a starting point to access counselling and support. This is a free centre for those who cannot afford to pay for counselling at this time.
The centre’s counsellors will provide an initial assessment for referrals to the Anglican Trust for Women & Children or other agencies in the community, where appropriate. We also provide initial counselling of up to six sessions.
Referrals can also be made to Mary’s Place, Pacific Island Services for counselling or social work.
ATWC has a team of trained counsellors, psychotherapists and social workers who:
- Have tertiary qualifications
- Are members of professional associations
- Have high ethical and professional standards and work from a base of respectful practice
- Have a wide range of therapeutic experience
The Centre can help with:

We believe people are not the problem, that problems occur in a wider social perspective than the individual.
We support people in their challenge with problems. We work from a strength-based perspective, focussing on people’s resilience and abilities in their lives.
